Diane Fresquez is an American journalist based in Brussels, Belgium. She was for many years a special correspondent to the Wall Street Journal, and is the author of A Taste of Molecules: In Search of the Secrets of Flavor, Women Writing Science series, published by The Feminist Press (2013 USA) and by Penguin Books Australia/Nero (2016) as The Taste of Home. Diane also wrote the interactive series of articles, “The Taste Tests: Can science help us eat better?” for ERC=Science², a communications campaign that uses popular scientific themes such as “food” and “the senses” to highlight the scientific research funded by the European Research Council and the potential impact it can have on society. Diane is currently enjoying her role as PR person for the project.
