Columnist — Niloufer's Parsi Kitchen

Niloufer Mavalvala

Cookbook author, home cook & keeper of Parsi food heritage

Born and raised in Karachi, with London, Toronto, and Dubai all part of her story, Niloufer has travelled the world — and fallen for its cuisines along the way. A self-taught cook passionate about culture through food, she writes the blog NiloufersKitchen.com and has published four Parsi cookbooks, earning eight awards. She believes that while we may be identified by race, religion, and colour, food forms the tightest bond between us. In 2021, ParZor recognised her as one of eight women who made significant contributions to preserving Parsi Zoroastrian heritage over the past century. Beyond the kitchen, Niloufer loves teaching, photography, music, and travel.
