Steve Carlson traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe and the United States during his career in the semiconductor industry. While traveling, he developed a love of regional foods with a particular interest in the science of cooking. Now retired and living in New England, he enjoys growing unusual vegetables and herbs. He can usually be found fishing, digging clams, raking oysters or in the garden. He recently bottled his first vintage Gruner Veltliner from his backyard vineyard.
